Is god without desire? Is it possible that god can have desires? If that is the state then who is to do, and what is to do. Why does god wish for his devotees to progress? Why does god wish that all karma be abolished and everyone comes back to him? God is omniscient, omnipresent, why did he wish for this creation? God took human forms, came as prophets, to lead people out of darkness – is that not his desire? If we say that he answered prayer, to answer a prayer; is that not a desire? To be charitable, to be kind- is that not a desire? God is neither positive nor negative, yet god gives, god forgives, god removes pain and suffering. For someone who is neutral, why these characteristics. If god does not have any attributes, then how can god have feelings? Becoming null, does not mean that god is emotionless, devotionelss or loveless. God can reciprocate, god can fulfil, god can love all that is divine, way beyond human capacity. God does without expectation, but does have desire - the divine desire that a devotee should achieve. And when a true devotee comes, then entire universe comes into play. Situations become favourable and nature supports (all due to divine internention) so that devotee can merge, immerse and emerge as an enlightened being in that divine love.
Thus god is desireless for himself but full of desire for the devotee to achieve his/her highest goal.
