I shall come to you if you come to me
I shall love you only if you love me
I shall forgive you if you will plead to me
Such are the ways of the world, including you and me
Why even the lord loves all yet reciprocates only those who do
And he comes to all, but appears to only those who come
And punishes he for the wrong, but forgives when you plead
Image of his truly are we, that’s the way we are
The way of his is the way of ours, same we do
But knowingly he does and ignorantly we do,
That is actually what we do
