The area between Mount Zeus (Mount Carmel) and Mount Sinai was the place of Greek Gods. They have blessed the area with chants and Dead Sea is actually “Blessed Sea”. Apart from sulphur and other chemicals, it contains blessing of the Gods which makes it curative. The waters have healing power. The water is slight slimy but does not have same power when taken away in other lands.
Kumran caves were inhabited by these Gods. The king was Kumer. It was Kumer Nagari many years before sectarians settled here. The area is blessed but anyone who messes with the area (the sectarians), are destroyed. Anyone who comes with sincerity will receive blessings.
Calendar: The calendar is based on sun, moon & stars. The sun decides the number of hours in a day. The lunar phase decides the numbers of days in a month. The positions of the stars which occur in relation to revolution of earth around the sun decides the number of months in a year. The earth is not entirely circular. This calendar will vary based on the region. Currently the calendar that is followed worldwide is the Gregorian calendar. It has 12 months, 30-31 days per month and 365 days per year. The Indian calendar have 11 to 12 months in a year based on position of the stars. The seasons are based on position of stars and latitude of the earth. Thus, each region has a different season.
Sectarians of the dead sea scrolls: They met with an end because even though they wanted purity, they lived in false ideas of end of world, end of evil. They thought that there was evil in world which is separate from God. They did not consider that everything is because of God. Above all, they considered themselves as a superior race for whom even angels sang. Anyone who considers themselves as superior race has met with an end. Most of the sectarians did not eat meat as they considered meat as tamasic. They ate frugal food as they considered that as sattvic.
