No one likes to see stagnant water, but one enjoys seeing flowing water. When flowing water is seen by a spectator, one enjoys it. If one goes inside flowing water, one may fall from the waterfall, be hit by stones. Similarly, if one experiences life as immersed within it, one gets pain. But if one watches it as a spectator, one enjoys and gets entertainment.

Flowing water is ever-changing. Change is the only constant thing in life. If life not does change, it becomes stagnant and shrinks. Similarly, God is constant. Yet he created this maya (illusion) in the universe which is constantly changing. Thus, God appears to be constantly changing and one enjoys experiencing God.
