સૂરતાલમાં ભજન ગાવાથી શું પ્રભુ મળે છે? એમાં પ્રભુ પ્રેમ નહીં હોય તો એ ખાલી સંગીતની સાધના છે. એવી જ રીતે મંત્ર, ઉપચાર, પૂજાથી પ્રભુ નથી પમાતા. એમાં પ્રભુ પ્રેમ નહીં હોય તો પ્રભુ નથી રિજાતા. માનીએ છીએ કે હર કણ કણમાં પ્રભુ છે, તોયે કેમ આપણે દ્રવિત નથી થઈ જતા કે જ્યાં જોઊં ત્યાં પ્રભુ જ છે? કેમ પ્રભુના દર્શનની આટલી બધી તડપ છે? કેમ મંદિરમાં જઈને પત્થરને પ્રભુ માનીયે છીએ?
We are such shallow and indifferent people. We only see god in temples and proclaim god is everywhere. We are such hypocrites. If god is everywhere, then behave like that. You don’t need temples or pilgrimages. You don’t need to sit in separation or meditation. Because we don’t believe god is everywhere. Accept the fact that books have told you, learned men have told you that god is everywhere, but you have not experienced it. Strive hard, pray harder and pray that you experience it, feel it and live it all the time. Then one day shall come when you will see god everywhere, in everyone, in all and in yourself too. Till you do not experience it, how can you truly say that god is every where? Be like Swami Vivekananda who asked so many learned men, “Have you seen god” and only Ramakrishna Paramhansa replied in truth and simplicity, “Yes I have seen god and I talk to him just as I talk to you.” Bring ths conviction in your thoughts, emotions and actions. Till you do not experience it yourself, it is book knowledge. Once you experience it, it is self-knoweldge. Then is called self-realization. This comes only with self and it can never be learnt or given. It can come only after the self answers the question-who is god? Then only can one reach to that answer. No one else can give it to you. Your guru can show the way, lead the way but you need to walk the way. You need to accept the way. This is the true way of self-realization. Without self-experience, we are incomplete. Without self knowledge, we are ignorant. Without self realization, we are only in maya and in unreality.
