Tantra means “tant” in “Ra” (Raga). It also means Tan= body + tra = 3 (male, female and God). Triyoleen means tri (3) are taleen (absorbed). This is path of moksha through tantra. The union of male and female leads to absorption (taleen) in God. This occurs due to awakening of kundalini energy (female) that reaches upto sahasrara chakra (male) and then energy is diverted towards moksha by God (3rd body). In this the intent (bhavna) is to achieve moksha.
Normally male and female mate for pleasure, either own pleasure or other person’s pleasure. The feeling is not of moksha. Shiv is required to channelize energy towards moksha. If only one person desires energy, tantric will take away energy of other person, then use it to harm someone, or they may use it for some other purpose. When this energy is offered to negative forces then it can cause problems.
Sacrificial Offering is also tantra. Here by performing sacrifice, energy of the sacrificed entity is taken by tantric and combined with his own energy, which will then be used to harm a person. If that person has an armour (kavach), the energy will return to the tantric. His own energy will not harm him, but the sacrificed entity's energy will harm him as he has no armour (kavach). If Tantric gives energy to negative forces for power, they will keep on demanding so tantric will perform sacrifice again and again. If tantric cannot give energy, then negative forces will destroy the tantric. Similarly, so called religious gurus utilise energy from other person for wrong use.
Tantra can be done without body. Shiva knows the highest form of tantra. Through his Sankalp (determination) and meditation, he can generate kundalini and then invoke formless energy which merges within the sahasrara chakra. This energy is then used for welfare of the world (jagat kalyan).
To practice tantra, right place, right time, nakshatra, right thoughts, and purity is all very essential.
